Windows sit somewhere between still life and landscape ,a framed view that's both inside and outside at once. This series began five years ago, inspired by the light in the South of France, and has grown into a vehicle for memory and imagination by using the window to journey into remembered and imagined landscapes, abstraction, colour and joy. There's also a way it plays with time; sitting and watching a day pass, the light shifting and the sun going down.
