“These paintings were made as summer started to slowly turn into autumn, they are about light,
hope and being present to what we carry forward: memories of summer past and moments of wonder in nature.
Windows and gardens appear throughout, each one a door into the past and a door into the future,
this collection is dreamlike, half real and half imagined and full of joy and the quietness of light.
I believe art outlasts us, supports us and helps us thrive,
and I hope these paintings give you doorway of calm to walk into”
“Walk with me to the sea”
Inspired by previous visits painting outside in the mediterranean and the great window paintings of by Matisse and Pierre Bonnard, this is a colourful, joyful painting leading you through a botanical jardin to the sea shore where boats bob up and down.
